Here's one of our newest CrossFit Warren members, Laura, at the end of a very good looking row stroke. Legs all the way extended, leaning back for more power after the initial leg drive and the handle right in the middle of the sternum after the arm pull.

Hoover Ball
We will go over all the rules at the gym, but hoover ball is played on a volleyball court and a 10lb medicine ball is used. The ball is caught and thrown, instead of bumped, over the net.

Take advantage of these strength days and go heavy. Ensure correct form, but again go heavy. Don't go in there and just bust out the reps, these WOD's should have you just as tired afterwords as a MetCon. Now, if you are new to the deadlift we will be working on form and if you aren't we be keep your form in check.
Remember, Mechanics First THEN Consistency in those mechanics THEN Intensity.

"Tabata Something Else"
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds
of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are
push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals
are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
It's not as complicated as it looks. I promise.

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute,
two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute...
continuing as long as you are able.
This was Pete's first time doing the Med-ball Clean.Over all he did pretty well that day. In this picture you'll notice his arms are bent on the way up. When doing the Med-ball clean, or any clean for that matter, you want to keep those arms straight until after full hip extension and shrug. This was just one of his 30 reps that day and they did not all look like this. Most, he was able to keep his arms straight. Great job Pete.

Pretty simple WOD so go at it. If you can do weighted pull ups start at something you can do and go up from there. If you can't do pull-ups yet, grab a friend and do some
